Ashok Chaturvedi had filed a separate petition in the Supreme Court in which he had alleged violation of the right to privacy. The Supreme Court has issued notice to the Government of Uttar Pradesh, Government of Chhattisgarh. The Supreme Court has restrained the police from taking action against Ashok Chaturvedi in this case (133/2022 Police Station Civil Line). At the same time, it has been asked to the Uttar Pradesh government that what action has been taken on the complaint lodged in Gorakhpur police station.
