देश के एक बड़े राज्य में पंचायत और निकाय चुनाव से जुड़ा 30 साल पुराना कानून बदलने की कवायद शुरू हो गई है। इसमें सबसे अहम है कि अब चुनाव लड़ने के लिए दो बच्चों की बाध्यता नहीं रहेगी। प्रावधान बदलने के लिए सरकारी स्तर पर प्रक्रिया शुरू हो चुकी है और सरकार नवंबर में ही अध्यादेश ला सकती है।
