क्या आरक्षण का मकसद विवाह संबंध बनाना है ? असल में आरक्षण को विवाह से जोड़ना या इसके उलट विवाह को आरक्षण से जो़डना, आरक्षण के उद्देश्य और साधन दोनों को ही गलत समझना है। आरक्षण एक संवैधानिक-सामाजिक सुधार की नीति है जिसे-सामाजिक न्याय,समानता और ऐतिहासिक अन्याय के सुधार के आधार पर तय होना चाहिए न कि कौन, किससे विवाह करेगा इस आधार पर।

Reservation is a constitutional-social reform policy.Which should be decided on the basis of social justice, equality and correction of historical injustice and not on the basis of who will marry whom.
